RockWealth is pleased to announce that we’re holding two breakfast seminars in October, entitled Evidence-Based Investing for Trustees.
We’re going to be addressing the following:
What can trustees learn from more than 50 years of academic research on how to invest?
Why are trustees still so focused on active management despite the evidence that the vast majority of funds fail to beat the market?
Are the big investment consultancy firms giving trustees the best advice? If not, why not?
And, with trustees in the US increasingly being sued by fund members for poor performance and excessive fees, will we see the same in Britain?
The first seminar is at the Queens Hotel in Cheltenham on Wednesday 3rd October, and the second is at the Amba Hotel at Charing Cross in London on Wednesday 17th October. Both run from 0830 to 1030.
The speakers will be Robin Powell, our Head of Client Education, and editor of The Evidence-Based Investor, and Charles Payne, who’s held senior management roles at several of the UK’s biggest asset managers, including Fidelity.
Also speaking at the London event will be Lars Kroijer, a former fund manager turned indexing advocate and investment author.
We extend a warm welcome to trustees of pension and investment funds of all kinds. Attendance is free and refreshments will be provided. However, places at both events are strictly limited.
If you would like to attend, simply email Sarah Horrocks at email@example.com.
