Here at RockWealth we’re pleased to announce the launch of two new RockWealth firms — one in Leamington Spa in Warwickshire and the other in Brighton, East Sussex.
What’s more, our plans for expansion don’t end there. We’re going to launching two more — in Cheshire and in Cardiff — in the next few weeks.
“Distinctive”
“We’re really proud to be rolling out our distinctive value proposition across the UK,” says RockWealth’s Managing Partner Tim Horrocks.
“RockWealth is probably best known as a pioneer of evidence-based investing. But that’s just one of the ways we’re improving client outcomes.
“Everything we do is founded on what’s best for our clients. That includes offering them fixed fees instead of percentage fees, an insistence on absolute transparency, and our emphasis on holistic financial life planning.
“The financial advice sector is ripe for constructive reform, and we intend to be at the forefront of positive change.”
“Disruptive”
Owen Williams, who will run RockWealth Leamington, joins from Beaufort Wealth Management.
“There are some good advisers locally,” says Owen “but the RockWealth approach — client focus, fair fees and evidence-based investing — is genuinely disruptive. I’m very excited to have the business up and running.”
Focus on sustainability
Owen’s opposite number at RockWealth Brighton is his namesake Steven Williams, who moved to RockWealth from Progeny. He was particularly attracted to RockWealth by its belief in the importance of sustainable investing.
“People are increasingly conscious of the impact of their purchasing decisions,” says Steven. “Awareness of the acute situation with climate change is now almost universal. ESG is going to be a critical factor in people’s investment decision-making.”
Launching a new business while the country remains in the grip of a pandemic might seem like a bold move. But Steven Williams believes the timing is right.
"Now is actually a good time to launch a new business with a simple and authentic value proposition,” he says. “The impact of lockdown has been felt in so many ways. Brexit has also caused uncertainty. People are looking for vision, clarity and transparency.”
More firms in the pipeline
RockWealth was founded seven years ago in Cheltenham. RockWealth Norwich opened for business last year.
In addition to Leamington and Brighton, RockWealth also hopes to launch another two firms in the next few weeks, in Cheshire and in Cardiff.
“What we’re offering is really a chord with people,” says Tim Horrocks. “They greatly value the peace of mind that good financial planning provides. But they don’t want to overpay for it. Percentage fees discriminate against those with larger portfolios and, compounded over time, those fees extract a great deal of value.
“RockWealth is truly pioneering. More and more firms will copy what we’re doing in the future.”
