That’s why we’re sponsoring the Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the inaugural SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards 2021. The category is designed to recognise organisations that proactively support the community through projects or events with not-for-profit objectives.
SoGlos launched its annual Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards in 2018. Those awards have quickly grown from strength to strength, reaching 7.2 million people in 2020 and gaining unprecedented support from the local community. The Business Awards are new this year.
Nominations closed in mid-June and now the finalists in the CSR section have been announced. They are:
- Gloucester Rugby Foundation — the official charitable arm of Premiership rugby club Gloucester, which has a focus on participation, education and wellbeing
- G-TEKT Europe Manufacturing (G-TEM) — an advanced manufacturing firm in Brockworth that treats its staff as its most valuable asset and invests heavily in training and professional development
- Hobbs House Bakery — a family-run bakery firm in Nailsworth that puts community and sustainability at the heart of its business
- The Cotswold Printing Company — a Gloucester-based printing company that has pivoted to provide a wide range of protective equipment during the pandemic
- The Long Table Stroud CIC — a community interest company that allows people in need to access great, healthy food, and just pay what they can for it
The winners will be announced at an awards night at Weston Aviation at Gloucestershire Airport on Thursday 9th September.
