The value of financial planning
Online advice
The world is changing and so are we.
More and more people now choose to meet their financial adviser online. Whether it’s about saving time, avoiding travel, or simply preferring the convenience of home, virtual meetings have become part of everyday life.
Of course, some clients still prefer meeting in person. But if you live far from a rockwealth office, or just want the flexibility of working with us wherever you are, our service, rockwealth Online, is designed for you.
You’ll receive the same high standard of service, the same process, and the same personal connection you’d expect face-to-face.
All you need is a laptop, tablet, or smartphone with internet access.
Wherever you are in the UK, world-class, evidence-based financial planning is just a click away.
There’s a great deal of misunderstanding around what financial planners are and what they do.
One of the reasons is that many advisers have built their business propositions on the notion that they add value in areas where, in fact, they don’t. They claim, for example, to be able to predict the financial markets, or to pick, in advance, investment funds that will outperform in the future, when all of the evidence shows that both of things are extremely difficult to do.
Financial planning is nothing to do with having unique market insights.
The truth is that no one knows where markets are heading next. No, as the name implies, financial planning is all about having a plan — a plan to get you from from where you are now to where you want to be. The plan may need adjusting as circumstances change, but the important thing is to stick to it.
Here at rockwealth, we believe in patiently building long-term relationships with our clients, founded on trust and total transparency.
Research by the asset management company Vanguard has shown that having such a relationship can add, on average, around 3% a year to the value of your portfolio. Purely in financial terms, compounded over years of investing, that could make a very substantial difference.
